The New Village Center at Stateline
It took ten years of planning,
processing, and construction and $25,000,000 of improvements to
create the new Village Center at Stateline. “We are proud that
we have helped transform this end of town into a destination
resort for tourists and locals,” states Terry Hackett, Managing
Partner of the project. Village Center was designed to complete
the overall Heavenly Village concept.
The
anchors in Village Center are the Raley’s Superstore, Sports,
Ltd., and the new Sidestreet, expanding from 5,000 square feet
to 12,000 square feet and broadening its mix of merchandise.
“Barbara Parina at Sidestreet, who has had 25 years of success
in the Center, is basically our specialty department store with
a great new look,” states Hackett. There are a mix of both
national and local tenants, which will provide a one-stop shop.
Raley’s has completed a beautiful remodel of the Superstore.
The food element is comprised of
Raley’s deli, Starbucks, Baja Fresh, Bob Dog Pizza, Subway and
Jamba Juice. Neighbors Bookstore provides the community with
the only full line bookstore. Blockbuster adds a
video/entertainment element. Mark Gandt at Sports, Ltd., has
opened two new concepts, Tahoe Trading Post and Snow & Surf, as
Gandt states, “If you are a retailer in this community, this is
the place to be.” Other long-standing tenants in the Center
such as Savvy, Foot Locker, Alpine Clothing, Top Drawer, Beads
and Jon Paul Gallery have enjoyed the benefits of a newly
remodeled Center, the architecture of which ties into the
Heavenly Village/Marriott across the street to create a dynamic
new area.
Simpson’s Jewelers has opened his
new, larger store along with Maison Rustique Gifts, Century 21
at Tahoe Paradise, Buckingham Vacation Properties, Marcus Ashley
Galleries, Escape Nail Salon, 2 Dogs & A Cat, Artifacts, Divine
Fragrances, Countrywide Home Loans, Tahoe Business & Cyber
Center and Hot Cha Cha.
The Stateline area has undergone a
renaissance, and the Village Center provides a “must see” venue
to visit, shop and dine for all.
